I have continued to work on my viking game. It is less broken now than it used to be last time I posted, but still not all the way working. Hopefully I can stop modifying the components at some time, since I keep having to print more and more tokens to make the game run smoothly. Additionally, I have been really getting excited about the new Dominion: Empires expansion that is coming out. It looks like the cards are going to be pretty cool.

A belated post about SaltCon.

I realized that I haven't posted in a while. I didn't win the Ion Award (again). The winner of the Strategy category was "the Scarlet Pimpernel", which was a really good game, so I understand why it won the competition. I had a lot of fun at the convention, so it was not all a loss. I even got a publisher looking at one of my games. I have recently started working on a new game - it is a complete remake of one of my old games based on feedback that I got from one of the other finalists in the competition (one that also didn't win). I have also played a few games of Shadows over Camelot (the card game) at work over lunch. It was pretty fun, though we have yet to be able to win. We have been playing a lot of Secret Hitler (Which I still can't really like, but have to play because it is well liked by the other people).  Finally, I have been designing replacement tokens for the Dominion Adventures cardboard tokens that were really low quality. Perhaps I ...

Kickstarter Successful

My first kickstarter campaign was successful. I am currently trying to fulfill things, but that doesn't mean that I have had no time for gaming :) I played some Dominion yesterday at lunch (I lost by 1 point because my treasure maps took too long to collide) We also played a game of Dead Drop (which was pretty fun.) Sunday night I played 5 tribes for the first time, and I liked it quite a bit. It had randomness and strategy in the right proportions. Alison said she would enjoy playing it again. Once I fulfill this campain I intend to buckle down and make cards for MOAR MOAI! and for Polynesia. I might get crazy and make some for Sorcery Inc too. Who knows?

My first attempt at a Dominion storage solution

I used a rolling pin on the divider segments of my dominion box insert, so now all the cards fit in without having to be diagonal. I also can fit in my extra euro sized card protectors that were just sitting around in a bag. Next I plan to make some dividers for the cards.

Witch Hunt

We played a game of Eminent Domain  at work. They would play it again, but I have not brought it back yet since I have been working on one of my goals for the year, and I have not been playing lunch games for this last week. The games continue without me (I made the group, but it has taken a life of its own, so even when I am not there it continues). I did publish a new version of Dancing Robots online (with the mostly completed artwork), but haven't done much else on that front recently. I finally got my Dominion base set cards sleeved, and I decided to put all the cards from all the dominion expansions that I own into one box. The expansions that I own are: Dominion, Intrigue, Hinterlands, and Dark Ages (Also a copy of Platnum, Colony, and Walled Village). I measured that I could just barely not fit three rows of cards into the box (the box is 1mm too narrow), but I decided that I would build it as if I could fit all the cards in anyway, and perhaps try to compress the foa...
